The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;

His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning;

great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer,

my shield, in whom I take refuge. Psalm 144:2

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,

he refreshes my soul. Psalm 23

From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,

the name of the Lord is to be praised. Psalm 113:3

The Anderson Island Christian Fellowship is a body of Christian believers who exalt the Lordship of Jesus Christ and His Spirit’s power to conform us into His image.  As such, we believe:

  1. God is creator and exists eternally as the divine Trinity: the Father, Jesus Christ, His Son, and the Holy Spirit.  (Heb. 11:3,  2 Cor. 13:14)
  2. The Holy Bible is God’s inerrant and infallible Word, worthy to be loved, studied, taught, and obeyed.  (2 Tim. 3:16,  2 Pet. 1:20-21)
  3. In the miraculous virgin birth of the eternal Son of God, Jesus, Christ (Lk. 1:35),  who is fully man and fully God.  (Jn. 14:9-11)
  4. In the sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and exaltation of Jesus Christ to the right hand of the Father.  (1 Cor. 15:3-4)
  5. All mankind has sinned (Rom. 3:23),  the wages of sin is death (Rom. 6:23),  and that man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son.  Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; by the washing of the water of the Word, with the regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life.  (Lk. 24:47,  Jn. 3:3,  Rom. 10:13-15,  Eph. 2:8,  Titus 2:11)
  6. God calls all believers in His Son into fellowship one with another (koinonia) and through the Holy Spirit is actively ministering through the giftedness of individual believers within His church.  (Rom. 8:9-11,  1 Cor. 12,  Heb. 12:22-23,  Col. 2:9-10)
  7. That Jesus Christ gave instructions to practice two ordinances or sacraments within His church until He returns:
    a.  Baptism in water.  All who repent and believe on Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized.  In doing so they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.  (Matt. 3:16,  28:18-20)
    b.  Holy Communion.  The Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing a memorial of His suffering and death for the forgiveness of our sins until He returns.  ( 1 Cor. 11:23-26)
  8. Jesus Christ is the mediator between God and man, seated in heaven at the right hand of the Father, from where He shall return to judge all mankind, both those who have received Him to eternal life ( 1 Thes. 4:13-18), and those who have rejected Him to eternal punishment (Matt. 25:46).
