MIRA!-Christian Fitness with a Latin Beat!
MIRA!(“LOOK!” in Spanish)- “LOOK to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other” Isaiah 45:22, NKJV
MIRA! is a celebration of praise to the Lord. While PraiseMoves lends itself to quiet, contemplative praise and worship, there are also opportunities for jubilant praise in MIRA!
MIRA! incorporates cardio movements with simple Latin dance steps and resistance exercise. This creates a unique blend of aerobics and muscle toning exercise. And just as in PraiseMoves, the emphasis is on the Word of God! Each of the dance steps, ie, Taste and See (Merengue), Righteous Steps (Salsa), Come & Dine (Cumbia), Turn Away (Samba), and Walk Worthy (Reggaeton), all have corresponding scriptures to help us learn the Word as well as the step. And all the dances are done to either Christian Latin praise music or Praise music in English. (For example, we employ Mandisa’s “Good Morning” song as a warm up to PM with the grapevine move, “I am the vine, you are the branches…” John 15:5) So come join us and be edified as you glorify God through both MIRA! and PraiseMoves.
